General FAQs
What is Enterprise Dental Connect?
Enterprise Dental Connect is the C-level think tank for scaling DSOs.
It brings together senior DSO and dental-group leaders with the technology, service, capital and strategic partners helping them grow, improve performance and build stronger enterprise businesses.
Rather than a traditional dental conference or trade show, EDC is built around the decisions that become harder as groups scale, with a deliberately curated room and a strong focus on practical, commercially relevant content.
When and where is EDC 2027?
April 20–21, 2027 at Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Who should attend?
EDC is designed primarily for senior leaders responsible for building and scaling dental groups, including CEOs, Presidents, COOs, CFOs, CIOs, CTOs, Chief Growth and Strategy Officers, Chief Clinical and Dental Officers, and leaders across marketing, workforce, procurement and revenue cycle.
The wider room includes independent and emerging dental groups, enterprise-relevant solution and service providers, investors, consumer oral health brands, healthcare organizations, and selected media and data partners.
Is EDC invite-only?
EDC is invite-led and deliberately curated. Registration routes and approvals are used to protect the seniority, relevance and balance of the room.
We are intentionally building a smaller, more focused environment where the people you meet are relevant to the decisions you are making.
Are DSO passes complimentary?
A limited number of complimentary hosted passes are available for qualifying senior DSO executives, subject to approval.
What kind of content should I expect?
EDC is a content-heavy executive strategy event, built around the real commercial and operational pain points that emerge as dental groups scale.
Expect practical discussions around questions such as:
- How do we get same-site growth moving again?
- Where is margin leaking out of the business?
- What technology and AI is actually worth scaling?
- How much should be centralized versus left at practice level?
- How do we improve patient acquisition, conversion and retention?
- How do we recruit and retain enough clinical talent to support growth?
- How should PMS, data, RCM and procurement work across an enterprise?
- Where should we invest, acquire or expand next?
- How do we add specialties such as oral surgery without adding unnecessary complexity?
The focus is on enterprise growth, profitability, operational performance and scaling, with leaders comparing what is actually working across their organizations. The 2027 programme is deliberately built around these live DSO pressures rather than broad industry discussion.
Is EDC a clinical education or CE event?
No. EDC is not designed as a continuing education conference and the core programme is not built around earning CE credits.
Clinical leadership is an important part of the room, but conversations focus on the enterprise implications of clinical decisions, such as standardization across locations, technology adoption, specialty expansion, provider productivity, patient outcomes and building scalable clinical models.
If you are looking for a traditional clinical education programme, EDC is probably not the right event. If you are responsible for how clinical strategy affects the growth and performance of a multi-site dental organization, it is.
How is the content different from other dental conferences?
EDC is deliberately built around specific problems and decisions rather than broad panels or passive presentations.
Sessions are designed to get into the detail of what operators are doing, what the numbers look like, where implementation is failing and what leaders would do differently. Main-stage discussions are complemented by smaller executive roundtables, case studies and curated one-to-one conversations.
What topics will be covered?
The 2027 programme focuses on the areas having the biggest impact on DSO growth and enterprise performance:
Same-Site Growth & Margin
Patient volume, provider productivity, chair utilization, case acceptance, location-level performance and getting more from the existing portfolio.
PMS, Data, Technology & AI
Building connected enterprise infrastructure, improving data visibility and deciding which AI and automation use cases are actually worth scaling.
RCM, Insurance & Payments
Reducing denials, revenue leakage and manual processes while improving collections, cash flow and patient affordability.
Patient Acquisition, Conversion & Retention
Moving from fragmented local marketing toward measurable enterprise growth strategies across acquisition, communications and patient experience.
Workforce & Talent
Recruiting, retaining and deploying dentists, hygienists and wider teams while building an organization that can continue to scale.
Procurement & Cost Control
Turning increased scale into better purchasing power, stronger supply visibility and measurable margin improvement.
Capital, M&A & Investor Readiness
Deal activity, valuations, financing, integration, recapitalization and what investors and lenders now expect from DSO leadership teams.
Specialty Growth, Oral Surgery & Implants
Understanding when to build, buy or partner, how to create internal referral pathways and how specialties can become a meaningful new growth lever.
What are the OMS Breakouts?
New for 2027, the OMS Breakouts are dedicated oral surgery discussions running alongside the core EDC programme.
They look at oral surgery through an enterprise growth and operating lens, including when groups should build, buy or partner; how to create effective internal referral models; clinical consistency and safety; surgeon recruitment; technology; implants and full-arch; patient recovery; and the operational demands of scaling specialty services across multiple locations.
What is the format of the event?
EDC combines C-level main-stage discussions, smaller executive roundtables, case studies and innovation-focused sessions with structured one-to-one meetings and networking.
The aim is to create enough content depth to challenge how leaders are operating, while leaving enough time for genuine discussion with peers and potential partners.
Can I apply to speak?
Yes. Speaking is curated around the 2027 agenda, the seniority of the audience, and the relevance of the perspective being brought to the discussion.
For speaking opportunities and thought leadership enquiries, contact McKenna Fellman at [email protected].
Can solution providers attend without sponsoring?
Yes. Paid delegate and partnership routes are available for qualifying solution and service providers, subject to the final access model and the balance of the room.
Because EDC is deliberately curated, supplier attendance is controlled, and not unlimited.
Will there be networking outside the agenda?
Yes. EDC includes 10+ hours of networking across pre-day drinks, curated one-to-one meetings, networking breaks, lunches, a drinks reception and selected invite-only hosted moments.
The format is designed so that the time between sessions is as useful as the content itself.
Where should I stay?
We have a dedicated room block at Pier Sixty-Six, so you can stay onsite and make the most of the full EDC experience.
We recommend booking through the official EDC accommodation link to access our reserved rooms and event rate.
Rooms are limited, so we recommend booking early.
