“Tarun is a Privacy Leader with a background in Data Security, Privacy and Data Protection. Formerly the Global Privacy Manager for Qantas Group that includes Qantas Airlines, Jetstar Airlines and Qantas Loyalty, Tarun brings over two decades of experience working in various industries such as Healthcare, Retail, Telecoms, Leisure, Airlines, E-commerce and Banking across global organisations.

His specialisation includes operationalising Privacy, working with global Privacy legislations across 90+ countries building & leading progressive, pragmatic and sustainable Data Privacy programmes. With a strong business acumen, he has the ability to bridge the gap between technical, legal and regulatory landscapes.

Tarun currently holds various certifications in Information Security and Data Privacy (ISC2 CISSP, ISACA CISM & IAPP CIPM). He is a member, Chapter Chair and Asia Advisory Board Member for IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals).

Previously, he has also been the Advisory Board Member for Cybersecurity and Privacy startups. He has been interviewed by various UK publications including BBC and regularly addresses global audience at various international conferences.

Jerrick Lim

Chi Hung Chi

Dr. Chi Chi Hung is currently a Senior Principal Research Scientist of Digital Trust Centre in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, U.S.A. Before he joint NTU, he has worked in industry (Philips Research and IBM Poughkeepsie), universities (Chinese University of Hong Kong, National University of Singapore, and Tsinghua University), and national research centre (CSIRO, Australia) for more than 30 years. Dr. Chi has been active in basic science research and technology development and deployment. He has published more than 300 papers in international conferences and journals, 10 edited books, and he holds 6 U.S patents. He was program/general chair of more than 16 international conferences and workshops and keynote/invited speakers for more than 30 events. Technologies he developed have also been transferred into industry successfully as startup companies. His current research areas include digital trust, security and privacy preserving, data engineering and science, knowledge modelling, behaviour and cognitive computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, Internet-of-Things (IoT), service and cloud computing. In recent years, he has been focusing on technology research and translation into real use case solutions for economic and social problem solving.

Christian Reimsbach-Kounatze

Christian Reimsbach-Kounatze is an Information Economist/Policy Analyst at the OECD Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), where he has been working on topics related to the digital economy since 2008 and more specifically on data governance since 2010.

Since 2010, Christian has been leading OECD projects on data governance including: the OECD project on Data-driven Innovation, Enhancing Access to and Sharing of Data, and Data Portability. He is currently co-ordinating Phase III of the OECD Going Digital Project that focusses on Data Governance for Growth and Well-being, and is leading OECD work on “Emerging Privacy Enhancing Technology: Maturity, opportunities and challenges”.

Before joining the OECD, Christian worked as a researcher at the Institute for Information and Market Engineering of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and at SAP Research (Germany). Christian holds a Diploma in Information Science, Engineering and Management and in Economics, both granted by the KIT.

Anne Flanagan

Anne J. Flanagan serves as the Vice President for Artificial intelligence at FPF. Anne leads the FPF Center for Artificial Intelligence. exploring the data flows driving algorithmic and AI products and services, their opportunities and risks, and the ethical and responsible development of this technology.

An international policy expert in Data and Artificial Intelligence, Anne is an economist and strategic technology governance and business leader with 18+ years’ experience on five continents, including in the EU and the U.S.

Anne spent over a decade in the Irish government and EU institutions, including developing Ireland’s technical policy positions and diplomatic strategy in relation to EU legislation on telecoms, digital infrastructure, and data. She has represented Ireland in the EU Digital Single Market Strategic Group at the European Commission, the Working Party on Telecommunications and Information Society at the Council of the European Union and was responsible for foundational work on the EU’s Digital Single Market, including the EU’s early approach to AI governance.

Since moving to the U.S. in 2019, Anne has held several senior positions in technology policy, where she has helped senior technology business leaders shape responsible and sustainable technology development through her research, advice, and expertise. At the World Economic Forum, she developed and led a global portfolio of work on Data Policy and later led cross-product policy strategy for Reality Labs Policy at Meta Platforms Inc. in San Francisco, California.

Anne holds a Masters in Economics and Political Science from Trinity College Dublin, a Masters in International Relations from Dublin City University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Trinity College Dublin. Amongst her accolades, Anne is a Member of the Board of Advisors of the Innovation Value Institute (IVI) at Maynooth University and a recognized Woman Leader in Data and AI at WLDA.tech.
