“The Health Equity in Clinical Trials Congress was the most productive and actionable meeting on the topic I’ve attended. Not only was I able to hear tangible, real life successes and failures; but I had the opportunity to pick the brains of some of the brightest in the space in Industry. ”

Jocelyn Ashford, Head, U.S. Corporate Affairs, CVRM, AstraZeneca

FOCUSING ON HOW WE MAKE A CHANGE

The 3rd Health Equity in Clinical Trials Congress draws on expertise from the entire clinical trial ecosystem and provides critical insights to cross-functional sponsor functions. We create internal and external alignment on how to shift the industry forward by sharing best practices and upgrading your health equity tool kit.

The FDA is striving for more representative clinical trials to become the norm, it is imperative that DEI strategies are deployed to ensure safety, efficacy, and generalizability of trial data to the wider population - reinforced by the draft guidance on Diversity Action Plans (DAPs). We share breakthroughs on how corporates meet communities and populations relevant to race and ethnicity, sex and gender, age, geography, disability, LGBTQIA+, and more.

NEW FEATURES FOR 2025

REAL WORLD DATA, EPIDEMIOLOGY & STUDY DESIGN TRACK

The afternoons of the Congress will now split into 2 tracks to provide extra insights into the upstream functions defining DEI process for sponsors. Topics will include how to address gaps in data sources for underrepresented populations, how to identify disparities in disease prevalence, and how real-world data can be harnessed to define trial design. Incorporating demographic understanding throughout epidemiology and data science is crucial for scientific goal setting in diversity action plans required by the FDA.

EXCLUSIVE PRE-DAY WORKSHOPS

May 6 will feature as an interactive pre-day workshop that furthers the internal and external alignment of sponsors to address DEI barriers in clinical studies. Receive more in-depth insights, case studies, and use cases of strategy deployment and how DEI measures translate to improved recruitment and retention. Hear how sponsors adapt their initiatives, learn from failures and identify best practices through presentations, panel discussions, and roundtable breakouts.
