Mark Pallen is a Research Leader at the Quadram Institute and Professor of Microbial Genomics at UEA. His research interests span microbial genomics, metagenomics and bioinformatics, including the chicken gut microbiome. He is director of the MRC Cloud Infrastructure for Microbial Bioinformatics (CLIMB) project.

Julia finished her studies of biology with a M.Sc. in the field of neurological degenerative diseases at the Institute for Experimental Neurology in Ulm in 2013.
After nearly 5 years working as a Research Associate in the field of oncological research in Freiburg and Basel, she joined Zymo Research Europe in 2018. Here, Julia works at the intersection between science and marketing.
Dr. Regina Wolf
Regina studied veterinary medicine at the Universities of Milan, Giessen and Munich.
She joined ROYAL CANIN in Cologne, Germany, as manager for veterinary products. Regina then worked for ICON Clinical Research in Langen, Germany as monitor on European clinical trials in humans before she joined PFIZER Animal Health in Sandwich, UK, as manager of clinical trials and then European clinical projects. Before joining KLIFOVET in Munich, Germany, in March 2012 as Head of Product Development, Regina was assessor of immunological products at the Veterinary Medicines Directorate, UK. Since August 2017 she is heading the regulatory affairs unit at KLIFOVET where she is responsible for general strategic advice, registration and regulatory life cycle activities for the registration of feed, feed additives, biologicals and veterinary medicinal products.

Ph.D. in Genetics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) with broad experience in molecular biology and animal genomics. Project Management and Innovation at the Molecular Genetics Veterinary Service (SVGM) of the UAB since its creation in 1996. Founding partner of Vetgenomics (2011), a technology-based company focused on genetic diagnostic and genomics.
With extensive experience in the design and implementation of new methodologies of genetic analysis as well as to their valorization. Responsible for numerous agreements and projects with companies of the pharmaceutical and agrigenomics fields and currently working in national and international collaborations on infectious diseases, pathogens, and microbiome characterization with NGS.
