Bridges between academia and industry: creating an ecosystem that can boost innovation in animal health, hosted by Ghent university | Kisaco Research

Universities offer a creative environment for multidisciplinary research (cross species and cross technologies) and are a rich source of knowledge and innovative, often groundbreaking technologies.

The process to turn these technologies into new applications and products that can serve animal health however requires specific support activities and expertise.  In this webinar we will discuss with the audience what support activities and expertise are needed to facilitate bridging between discovery at universities and (early-phase) development in industry.  Ecosystems where universities are embedded between other actors who can provide complementary services and this in close proximity with animal health companies can boost innovation for animal health.

The Ghent ecosystem in Flanders, Belgium will be presented as a case.  During the webinar polls will be used to actively involve the audience into the discussion.
